Winds of Change

Our class went outside on the campus here at IUSB and took some photos of different items showing how things change over the course of a season. I particularly like this leaf because it shows greens, yellows, and different shades of purple. Eventually this leaf will turn to brown after it loses all of its water and falls off the tree. During a seasonal changes such as Summer to Autumn all plants and trees and even the grass in our yards (in my case it is all weeds) go into a dormant mode. Everything basically goes idle and waits there until the spring time when everything starts to bloom. Some bushes keep their color, but they do not grow any during the winter months.

Everything goes through a cycle. When the seasons change so do we. When it gets colder out we put on heavier clothes, stay inside where it is warmer, turn on our furnaces and gets cozy under more blankets on our beds. During the Spring and Summer months we shed clothes, turn on our air conditioners, go swimming and enjoy the sun. We change our lifestyles to reflect the changing seasons.
